Ch Huttonvale High Command At Seacrest

Daz was my “once in a lifetime dog” for me he had it all. He was bought in from Angela Harper, when she used CH TYEGARTH PACHERENC AT SEACREST on her Going For Gold At Glenfall daughter, Huttonvale Highlight.

He was awarded his first Reserve CC at only 9 months old, and then two shows later when only 10 months of age he was awarded his first CC. He gained second CC when one week out of puppy, and gained his title as a junior. A ringside favourite, due to his entertaining antics, he was a total clown and yet always ready to a minute when it mattered.

I’m in no doubt he would have made an excellent producer, judging from the winning offspring he produced from just a handful of studs., and I genuinely believe that gauging by the vast amount of Breeders who wanted to use him, he would have been influential for the breed not just the Seacrest kennel. He had so much to offer, particularly his 42dd forehand assembly, but sadly I withdrew him from public stud at 14 months old when he was graded 2 in the heart scheme (He had been graded the pass grade of 1 at 10 months of age). Despite being graded two which was conformed by Doppler, Daz showed no physical signs of ill health throughout his life and ultimately died from Leukaemia, three months before his 13th birthday. I still miss him now.

In his very short stud career he did sire Ch Walkon Chocolate Chip, and her litter sister Aust Ch Walkon Chocolate Sensation, also my own SEACREST BIJOU D’INDE ensuring the continuation of the line.

Following his title at such a young age, Daz went on to amass 18 CC’s and 18 Reserve CC’s. He was Top CC winning dog in 1994, and Runner up Top CC winning dog in 1995, and 1996.

He held a remarkable record at the prestigious COTSWOLD DOG OF THE YEAR ANNUAL NATIONAL FINALS, where he was awarded BEST DOG IN BOTH 1995 and 1997, was the youngest ever qualifier in 1994, and qualified for five successive years.
