Surfstone Danielle At Seacrest

Although not my first Boxer, Toyah was my foundation bitch, and I couldn’t have wished for a better start. Royally bred, her sire was Ch Norwatch Brockbuster, and her dam was a daughter of Ch Tyegarth Famous Grouse and Ch Dusky Damsel of Chellowside. She had great conformation and movement, her head was too plain, but her many virtues far outweighed this fault.

A prolific Best of Breed winner at All Breed open shows, she gained her Junior Warrant quite easily, winning regular Best In Show All Breeds along the way, Her movement always assured a second look from the all rounder judging Varieties and BIS. In all she won 7 times at the national championship shows, the highlight of which was at Working Breeds of Scotland when she won Post Graduate bitch and then the Reserve CC, my first green card.

She produced Seacrest Carouser, who was a prolific CH show winner through puppy and junior. A daughter of hers was put to CH TYEGARTH PACHERENC AT SEACREST the result of which was SEACREST DOCTOR DEVIOUS who won well and became our first homebred green card winner when he was also awarded a Reserve CC.

She never lost her shape or showed any signs of old age. We have only ever had two accidental matings at Seacrest, and both were Toyah helping herself to one of the dogs – once when 9 and the second at 11 years of age. Toyah was quite a character; I owe her a lot.
