Moonshell At Seacrest

Moppit was my pick of litter back from CH SEACREST SASSAFRASS, and was the result of a mating between Sassy and our own CH TYEGARTH PACHERENC AT SEACREST. She was not shown as a puppy as she was a slow maturing sort, and was living with close friends. At 18 months old, following a visit where I noticed how much she had come on, we entered her at her 1st show, Windsor Championship show. She far exceeded our expectations taking the BITCH CC and BEST OF BREED.

Unfortunately, soon after, tragedy struck. Whilst out for a walk, she fell in a canal. She was rescued but soon after became ill. Following several tests, including an analysis of the water from the canal we were told that she had suffered a form of toxic poisoning. She recovered once it was out of her system, but unfortunately it left permanent internal damage.

With veterinary advice she was mated once to CH SEACREST DANOLI AT CARMONDENE and we retained a plain bitch, ”Seacrest Moonstruck” She in turn had a litter by Designer Game of Glenauld and produced SEACREST GLINT OF GOLD, Dylan was shown in partnership with Lorraine Beaumont, and was a regular Championship show winner, the highlight of which was winning a huge Post Graduate class at Crufts

Moppit came home to Seacrest after the accident. She was retired from competition, and had a good quality happy life for 3 more years, before we lost her in March 2001.
